Revelation 12. The history, present, and end of humankind encapsulated in a mere 17 verses. From the perspective of God who lives outside of time, looking into the time terrarium we all call home. He speaks:
“It has come at last—
salvation and power
and the Kingdom of our God,
and the authority of his Christ.
For the accuser of our brothers and sisters
has been thrown down to earth—
the one who accuses them
before our God day and night.
And they have defeated him by the blood of the Lamb
and by their testimony.” (NLT-SE)
Today, do I have the mindset of “We’ve already won! … Finis … Done … We are more than conquerors through him who loved us!”?(Romans 8.37) Do I live in that light? The enemy twists and perverts and corrupts our words and thoughts and actions and intents, and uses them against us in the grand court of God. More immediately, he wields them against us in the little court of our own minds. He makes sure that good law is paralyzed from helping so that justice never prevails. He thinks he hems in the righteous so that justice is perverted. (Habakkuk 1.4) He shape-shifts and masquerades, so that those whose eyes are not transfixed upon the face of Jesus are temporarily duped. (2Corinthians 11.14-15)
In the battlefield of your mind today, give him no quarter, no mercy. (2Corinthians 10.5) Give him the razor point of the sword. Shoulders high! Be not sympathetic to his ghoulish howl of pain. Cristus Victor! Jesus has won! All who come to him in faith now owe the enemy not a thing. We are liberated and we will live as children of the King, as co-heirs with Jesus himself. (Romans 8.17) As you and me being who we were truly created to be from the beginning of time. Go out! Display the news! “It has come at last—"
